Project King – London, 2015
This headquarters was designed for a leading Global investment company that wanted the interior to reflect London’s heritage as well as feel more like a residence than an office.
The rich walnut library takes center stage and links the reception, boardroom and private office. Clever use of glass means you can see the library wrap around all three spaces uninterrupted.
Deep plum velvet banquet seating and display creates a playful conversational snug. The snug also acts as a partition between the front of house and office areas. Traditional oak parquet glides beneath bringing texture and warmth.
Project Esra – Istanbul, 2014
This Istanbul Duplex Penthouse was inspired by the city and the extensive views of the Bosphorus. 1508 London created a home that could host artwork, friends and family.
1508 London worked with local craftsman to select materials to create statement features. Blue Onyx was sourced for the kitchen island.
A protective screen hides a junction of beams – patterned in a modern interpretation of an ancient Selcuk design that we repeat throughout the space.
Minimalist frameless windows expose the river view and reflective mirrored walls further enhance the sense of exposure.
Project Pearl – London, 2015
This duplex apartment occupies the ground and lower ground floor of a traditional regency villa in the heart of Belgravia.
The vast ceiling heights and large rooms lend an impressive sense of grandeur and scale. The design sensitively re-introduces period details set within a fresh, uncomplicated palette.
A mix of antiques, heritage pieces and new modern designs provide a classic and timeless feel.
Project Khan – London, 2012
This Knightsbridge property is focused around light and dark. 1508 London created this design to dictate and sculptor light within the space and marry the conflict of function and aesthetic.
Light responds to dark volumes clad in smoked wood and leather, which seamlessly conceal and reveal a function.
A continuation of natural light is suggested through the lights intimate response to bespoke antique mirror – illuminating the space.
Project Darcy – London, 2013
This Grade II listed Town House is an elegant mix of the modern line and intrinsic period features. This house lovingly takes on traditional tones that playfully contrast the building’s heritage with the contemporary.
1508 London used bronze trimmed antique mirror, purposely offset, to frame the Regency fire place – bringing light, character and warmth to the room’s focal point.
