Decorex International is synonymous with luxury, and is internationally renowned for being the event to discover the very best, and most coveted products from our unrivalled collection of 400 hand-selected exhibitors. The one of the world’s biggest design events started on Sunday, 20th of September, and finished on Wednesday, 23th of September.
London Design Agenda was following and sharing the latest news and curiosities from Decorex. With a rich heritage of 38 years, Decorex’s long standing reputation has proven the test of time; growing and evolving to remain exciting and innovative – and 2015 is no different. Taking place at the start of the London Design Festival, Decorex is again being held in the grounds of Syon House – the perfect backdrop for you to discover the future of luxury design.
Today, we would like to share with you another news from Decorex – The Decorex Awards. Each year Decorex selects three oftheir wonderful exhibitors to receive awards for best new exhibitor, best international exhibitor, and best new product, with the help of highly respected expert judges.
This year the Decorex had the pleasure to have three esteemed judges: Nigel Coates, Martin Hulbert and Lucia Van der Post scoured the show for the very best of the Decorex exhibitors, with each winner receiving a beautiful bowl, expertly crafted by Stuart Carey. Also, a change that was introduced this year is a brand new award for Research in Making that judges announced after seeing the work of one of Future Heritage makers.

Best New Exhibitor: Pooky lighting
Pooky is all about beautiful, decorative lighting. Lights that look as though as though they cost a fortune, but don’t.
Best International Exhibitor: I Dogi
Custom-made chandeliers, exclusive and unusual creations realized in collaboration with architects, project managers and interior designers.
Best New Product: Blackpop
Beautiful designer wallcovering and fabric from the unique and independent brand Blackpop. They’re gorgeous, colourful and complex with contemporary twists. Made in the UK
Research In Making: Marcin Rusak
Marcin Rusak is a multidisciplinary designer and artist interested in ideas of value, ephemerality and aesthetics. Specializing in storytelling, process and material investigation his work often incorporates research, object and installation as well as visual creations to explore overlooked details of our lives which recreated and reimagined are shown again in a different light.
