This year Super Brands London will showcase an impressive mix of international design talent from contemporary to cutting-edge brands during the London Design Festival!

Taking a curatorial yet collaborative approach, the show’s Founder and Director Jimmy MacDonald has sought to underline Super Brands London’s reputation for bringing the best global design to the capital. “Throughout the year we work actively to handpick a diverse selection of brands who highlight current global design trends, each presenting a distinctive temporary showroom space within Super Brands London” he said.
Brands showing for the first time at Super Brands London 2015 will include Neo/Craft, the new furniture label from Berlin-based designer Sebastian Scherer, which reexamines traditional notions about materials with striking effect. Also making its debut, Swiss brand Yask makes pieces that take inspiration from nature yet are resolutely forward looking, while the Laviitta collection from Finnish company Poiat has classic Scandinavian design principles at its core. &New, a contemporary furniture brand created by a British-Finnish design duo Jo Wilton and Mirka Grohn, produces graphic, lacquered steel pieces in small batches from its London workshop, and Italian studio IL Laboratorio Dell’Imperfetto’s experimental fibreglass pieces can be used both indoors and out.

Big hitting international brands will also have a presence, including innovative engineered quartz specialists Caesarstone who will present the ‘Thirty Four Project’ in collaboration with designer Rona Myuchas-Koblenz. We also wlecome iconic Swedish furniture manufacturer Lammhults who will present a series of new collections and contemporary Dutch brand eQ+, who will present the Alumni Collection, recent winner of the Design District 2015 Award. Innovative UK flooring company Solid Floor will showcase its ongoing collaboration with the Belgian mill Z-Parket.
Continuing the theme of compelling work around the globe, unique food design event EATAIPEI will provide on an immersive and sensory exploration of Taipei City. Five aspects of 2016’s World Design Capital – history, landscape, people, lifestyle and future – will be brought to life through installations and a series of exquisitely crafted dishes. Brands showcasing on the stand include Poetic Lab, KIMU, Pilu Wu, Beyond Object and many more.

Also exploring the synergy between design and food, albeit more subtly, London-based Swedish design studio Cate&Nelson has designed and curated the central Swedish Pavilion & Design Café at Super Brands. A calm, inspiring place amongst the bustle of the London Design Festival, it will be a place to relax while admiring Cate&Nelson’s pick of Swedish designers, brands and emerging trends from the likes of Atelje Lyktan , Ludvig Svensson, Zero Lighting, and Bolon Flooring, amongst many others.
