Kelly Hoppen, the Britain’s first lady of interior design, is a world-renowned designer who has pioneered a simple yet opulent style that has permeated interior design at every level.

Kelly has set the standard for elegance and taste in interiors with her minimalist yet opulent style. As well as designing apartments, houses and yachts for an ever-expanding international private client list, Kelly also undertakes commercial design projects including hotels, restaurants, office spaces and aircraft interiors.
The 37 years’ experience at the forefront of the design industry makes the public continually seeking for Kelly’s expertise. The South African born British designer has achieved iconic status designing houses, hotels, yachts and jets. Kelly has her own collection of paint, fabrics, rugs and ceramics.
Kelly as recognised for the passion of empowering women in business, she was also awarded the NatWest Everywoman Ambassador award in December 2013. Kelly is also a proud ambassador for the Government’s GREAT campaign and has worked with UK Trade & Investment mentoring small and medium sized businesses. Kelly is the author of eight design books to date.

Kelly Hoppen usually visualises the completion of her projects, organises tasks, and sets a structured timeline in place to work towards the goals she put in front of her. The designer focus lies on looking forward to building relationships with clients and sharing her passion for design to deliver a project they love. Overall, Kelly loves the challenge that a new commission brings and the excitement of a unique new experience.

Characteristically, Hoppen works in a color scheme that blends neutral shades—soft taupes, rich chocolates and warm beiges—which she contrasts with dark wood that adds rigorous linearity to the lush softness of the fabric choices (suede, wool, linen, cashmere).
