Greek Street in London is quite famous for its high restaurants and cosmopolitan nature. Now It will have one more reason to attract design lovers – it will have the best interior design inspirations to date on that street. A private members club will be held there.
“Library”, it is its name, the new private members’ club for the eclectic literary and design communities is 19 greek’s street’s biggest interior design project to date (where we heard this before!). The club’s “intellifent design philosophy” focuses on furniture with strong values around sustainability, up-cycling and social conscience, without a compromise of style.
The space feature works by Out of the dark, a charity which up-cycles old classic furniture pieces while creating work for disadvantaged youth as well as Moroso’s M’Afrique collection made by local Senegalese craftsmen, various up-cycled works by James Plumb, including a bench made from an old sofa stripped back to its most basic frame, and custom-made works by Se-London.
Library interior design inspiration. The reception desk was made by using the top of an antique reclaimed console, propped onto a functional black plinthe, and backed by its matching mirror. The legs of the console were used to create table bases for the club.
