The warm informal charm of Emily Todhunter seduces from the moment she greets me on her gravel drive. The setting is her secluded Wiltshire estate rather than her ‘buzzy’ London office. She is dressed in jeans and sweater (albeit chicly accessorised), speaks in rich plum tones and leads into a quintessentially English country kitchen, complete with black lab, Aga and scrubbed wooden table . The perception you get of her is of a woman with no artifice and no pretension, but equally of a designer with no need to impress.
