Sky Gardens: a sanctuary for all seasons

Winter, or sky gardens, are the latest must-have feature in luxury apartments, offering views at altitude without the wind chill factor. Sky garden is a glass box that has little to do with greenery but is all about providing an extension to the living space in new-build apartments.

Sky gardens barely existed in central London 10 years ago. Usually Sky gardens looked inelegantly bolted on and lacked a sense of purpose.

Today’s London is different and you can see sophisticated and luxurious winter gardens all over the place.

While you are enjoying the amazing interiors, you sit suspended above the heart of the city and you can admire the extraordinary landscape in the exterior.

Take a look at these incredible London Sky gardens and get inspired!

“A connection with the outside world” seems to be the main idea of winter gardens that are definitly a trend in interior architecture and design.

Although the big percentage of winter gardens are in apartments e they work in houses too. The design studio Echlin has devised one with a retractable glass roof on the top floor of a 7,000 sq ft house in West London.

Hope you got inspired with these Sky gardens that can give us a different perspective of the amazing London landscape!
