Are you a lighting lover? That’s because Lighting Design Awards 2014 as been announced and it will be in London! The event will be on 20th March in London Hilton, Park Lane and the lighting projects and products are already chosen. Excited? We will tell you everything who need to know!
Every year all the best lighting brands try to be the reference of the year. They look for the difference to the innovative lighting, and the list is extraneous and difficult to decide witch the better! This award as several categories divided into product, project and overall. So the Product Innovation Award distinguishes Light Sources, Lighting Controls , Interior Luminaires and External Luminaires. Otherwise, the Lighting Project categories are distinguished by Exterior Lighting, Heritage, Workplace Lighting, Large Retail (more than 5,000 square feat), Small Retail (less than 5,000 square feats), Lighting for leisure, Public Buildings, Hotels and Restaurants, Special Projects, Low Carbon, International Project ( Interiors) and the Daylight Award Categorie. And finally, the overall categories the most important ones: Manufacturer of the Year and Designer of the Year. Designer of the year is the most important and the most expected because distinguishes the designer that: “as exhibited exceptional lighting design skills, innovation and vision over the past year.” and by the way is sponsored by Toshiba. More excited? But, who’s the best to have a word about that? You of course. So, be delightful with some of the names we give you.
