The Independent Hotel Show is the UK’s largest, most comprehensive and best established business event in support of the luxury, boutique and independent hotel sector. Growing since its inception in 2012, the event is set to welcome over 300 suppliers from the hospitality world, ready to showcase every hotel’s necessities, from catering to bedding supplies. Happening this week, see what you can’t miss at Independent Hotel Show 2017 !
Once again held at the magnificent Olympia London venue, the show will have over 300 exhibitors to inspire and help hoteliers with every single aspect of providing a great hospitality experience for their guests.
With just two days of fair, the show has a magnitude of interesting events and seminars to choose from. From The Lobby designed by Benedict Whilhem, where you can network and increase your contacts, to the Power Breakfast, an exclusive invite-only event featuring celebrated Independent newspaper senior travel editor Simon Calder.

Special events will also include a seminar about terrorism and how the hotel industry can deal with it, featuring Mark Biggs who is a Counter Terrorism Security Advisor with the Metropolitan Police, and the Visit England Welcome Awards, a ‘Recognition of Service Excellence’ to a limited number of VisitEngland quality assessed accommodation operators who have demonstrated their commitment to providing excellent customer service.
But the most antecipated event is The Independent Hotel Show Awards, that count with two categories celebrating the best in indepedent hospitality. The Independent Hotelier, whose winner last year was Kate Levin, has several power couples aiming for the award, including Justin & Charlotte Salsbury and David & Charlotte Reilly.
The Outstanding New Hotel award, given to The Laslett last year, features several remarkable hospitality projects, but our choice for this prestigious recognition is The Pig-At Combe, nestled in the Otter Valley, Devon. Totally secluded, the mellow, honey-coloured Elizabethan gem is set in 3,500 acres of lush Devonshire countryside and is absolutely stunning!
