The Business Design Centre hosted this year’s edition of the Sleep Hotel Design Event and it was a blast. Fantastic speakers, lovely stands and the awesome Sleep Set competition gave us two days filled with design inspiration! Check out some of the best highlights from our visit to the Sleep Event. Enjoy!
The best edition yet was action packed from start to finish, with The Conference sharing the spotlight with the stands this year. Several inspiring talks and the phenomenal concepts from the Sleep Set competition made sure nobody was asleep during Sleep!
The Sleeper Bar was brilliantly design by the Russian Sundokovy Sisters, the balcony surface was the highlight with a groovy and inspiring pattern.
The Conference this year was a quote fest, with great knowledge shared and the eloquence of the speakers being a great feature. From some of the best designers in the contract industry to the editors of great magazines such as Sleeper, the speakers this year were top notch!

Our best talks selection would definitly have to be Fast Food, a discussion on the evolution of F&B with Simon Rawlings and Bob Puccini, held by Sleeper Editor Catherine Martin.
“For the first time ever in the USA, dining out dollars are more than those being spent in grocery stores” was one of the most impressive statements by the Puccini group founder.
The second and final day of the event brought us the Sleep Set competition. Four great designers, four room concepts with the them of Love and loyalty. If this wasn’t enough, the judge panel was also high end, with the lights of Nick de Klerk present to evaluate the concepts.
The beautiful concept from Stonehill Taylor was the competition’s victor, with an innovative room to sweep the judges. MKV Design also had a simply stunning resort-like concept that made us all want to hop on a plane to the Caribean.
The stands this year were also on the top of their game, as we can see throughout this post. Some of the best include 1508 London, Armani/Roca, Designers Guild, Elegant Clutter and Sans Souci.
Two very well spent day overall and next year’s edition in Olympia London will be very hyped, we will of course be there to bring you all the highlights once again!
