Courthouse Shoreditch Hotel, right in the heart of Shoreditch, is a well-know by its eccentric charm and buzzing nightlife. Rated as a luxury boutique hotel and steeped in history, this 128-room hotel offers guests access to a cinema, pool, spa, bowling alley and a sky terrace overlooking London.
The Victorian courthouse first closed back in 1999, followed by the police station in 2008. After that Occupy London squatted in the building for a while until they were turfed out by the developers.

Located in a Grade II-listed Old Street Magistrates’ Court and Police Station. The new luxury hotel was host (to put it politely) to notorious gangsters the Kray twins in the 1960s.
Spending a night in the cells may not be high on many people’s accommodation bucket list – but that could all be about to change. And, if you fancy an evening in a cell (without being arrested), you can hire one of them for a night of drinking behind bars. The bar has a menu of cocktails with vaguely crime-related names, such as clink and slammer. Some might say they’re criminally bad names.The hotel has transformed the two former court rooms into a restaurant and a private members’ club, where the jail cell bar is. In keeping with the courthouse theme, the restaurant has a “historical” concept. Plates will be handcuffed together, and the menu is sure to include some more criminal puns. There are three bars in the hotel in total, including one on the roof.
