One of the richest festivals of design and architecture is arriving to Clerkenwell, the heart and home of UK’s design industry. The festival hosts an array of the world’s most notable design, architectural and creative names. With more than over 60 showrooms, a wealth of creative business and more architects per square mile than anywhere in the planet. It’s the UK’s most flourishing design community.
Takes place between 21th and 23th and contemples over 60 showrooms, a multitude of architectural and creative practices.
Located at 34, St John Street, London EC1M 4AY, this cultural hub is the perfect location to host an international design event of considerable dimensions.
Integral to the area are the design showrooms and studios which partner with CDW every year, providing the festival with a stimulating programme of workshops, talks and special events. Previous showrooms events have featured exclusive product launches and keynote presentations from leading designers such as: Barber Osgerby, Erwan Bouroullec, Patrizia Moroso, Giulio Cappellini, Ross Lovegrove and Bram Boo.
Farmilou Building – This elegant Victorian venue provides a unique and striking backdrop for leading interior design and architecture suppliers to present their collections in new and dramatic ways. After a vast year on year growth, 2013 is set to be the most impressive show yet.
House of Detention – CDW will exploit the venue’s atmospheric architecture to create a stunning backdrop for an exhibition of international and cutting edge design. The exhibition will showcase some of the world’s most exciting up-and-coming design talent.
Order of St. John – In 2013 the Order’s majestic Priory Church, Crypt, and tranquil Cloister Garden, will house collections by international designers and brands, whose pieces reflect principles of fine craftsmanship, luxurious brands and high glamour.
Basement – Characterised by its vaulted brick ceilings and metal framework, this former abattoir will host a series of product installations and lighting features, presented by ana array of international lighting brands and designers.
Pavillions – Exhibitors ca host their own timetable of talks and events, wich will be integrated into festival’s marketing campaign including the official festival programme.
