The design studio Biasol has created one of the most dazzling restaurants you’ll ever meet in London: Clerkenwell Grind. Born from a 19th-century warehouse in Clerkenwell, the amazing restaurant and bar has maintained the heritage roots of the building and features a mid-century design that you won’t forget.

Dating from the 1870s, the building has two floors divided into a cocktail bar, dining area and a basement bar for host nighttime events. In the main entrance, the first thing you see is the glamourous Clerkenwell Grind brass logo contrasting with a chevron-patterned timber wall, forming a backdrop to the host desk.
Clerkenwell Grind has caught our attention due to the stunning mid-century flair combined with the usual roughness of the industrial design. Located in Clerkenwell at 2-4 Old Street, this restaurant interior design couldn’t possibly be any more gorgeous than it already is.
But it is the restaurant lighting that provides the ultimate touch. The mid-century lighting design is one of the high points of this stylish interior design, featuring minimalist white glass pendant lamps all around the bar area.
Strong colors like navy blue and millennial pink paired with golden details and marble-like table tops create a statement look throughout the restaurant.
“Behind its intricately patterned brick and terracotta facade, we sought to create a vividly colored but elegant interior that would contrast with the architecture while respecting its heritage,” said the designers.
All in all, this London restaurant is the perfect balance between a variety of brass lighting hangs from the ceilings and the warmth of the predominantly navy interior.

With a gold plated and a matte white finish ( inside and outside), each light has a bell-shaped shade fashioned from aluminum. By DelightFULL.
