Today I will talk about an event in London: Designs of the year in Design Museum.


The 2014 edition of this annual exhibition – run in conjunction with the Design Museum’s awards of the same name – celebrates the most innovative and inventive work in the worlds of architecture, fashion, furniture, graphics and more. This year’s 76 nominations include the Dumb Ways to Die app, a school afloat in a Nigerian lagoon, friendly lamp posts and a retractable bicycle mudguard. Work by big-name designers (Zaha Hadid, John Pawson, David Chipperfield and Miuccia Prada) jostles with student projects and crowdfunded start-ups.
