Last week, Shoreditch witnessed an unique hotel, like never see before. The Converse One Star Pop-up Hotel celebrated counter-culture and London street culture, while also promoting the release the new All Star collection! Uniquely designed rooms, street credited celebrities and an attitude-filled mood made heads turn in a fantastic display of hospitality in the heart of London. Take a look inside Converse’s One Star Hotel!
Unlike any other hotel you’ve ever experienced before, the One Star Hotel exists to give its guests an authentic taste of London’s street culture. Staff with attitude, zero sleep for guests, loud neighbours and queues round the block for the gift shop.
Located in the heart of Shoreditch, the One Star Hotel celebrates counter-culture and this generation’s anti-heroes with rooms curated by the likes of A$AP Nast, Yung Lean and MadeMe; live music into the early hours from acts including IAMDDB, Princess Nokia and Slowthai; workshops and panels featuring Paria Farzaneh and The Basement.
The “Step Into Sweetness” room translates the pastel colour palette of the latest Spring 2018 Converse One Star lineup into an immersive and Instagrammable experience of cotton candy colour, sound and taste.
The “GRAPE” by Converse Cons room tells the story of the newest Converse CONS One Star Pro Grape through the lens of Jamie Platt, a 20-year-old skater from Bournemouth who bought his first pair of Converse when he was just five-years-old.
In “Somewhere in Mid-Century”, A$AP Nast pays respect to the mid-century period by incorporating materials of various textures, patterns and understated shades all inspired from this influential time in design history.
